GENERAL DESCRIPTION
In 1959 Marvac developed a line of Vacuum Pumps specifically to meet the demands of the laboratory vacuum requirements. In 1967 Marvac introduced the first direct drive vacuum pump specifically designed to be used as a tool in the service of air conditioning systems. The initial direct drive model was a single stage pump. Later, multiple direct drive two stage models of much larger capacities were developed to suit the needs of commercial refrigeration service. The vacuum pumps had an excellent field service records with an average life of over 15 years. Various models were made, including a series of high speed pumps, which created a durable pump but also very light in weight. In 2003 the vacuum pump division was closed.
January 2011,
Marvac has closed the service department and no longer carries vacuum pump replacement parts.
